I am delighted to tell you that you’ll be able to read full coverage of the 2017 Wakagoi Show here on www.Nishikigoi.Life.
The All Japan Young Koi Show, or Wakagoi Show as it is perhaps more commonly called, was a regular diary date for me for a number of years, and with it some great memories. Indeed, it was on my visit to the Wakagoi Show in 2007 that I fell in love with Yamakoshi, and 2 years later I won a large plasma TV screen at the 2009 show party. My last visit was in 2013, spring visits in 2014, 2015 and 2016 saw me visit the International Junior Koi Show instead.
What is literally just a flying visit for the show should see me arrive in Himeji mid afternoon on the Thursday before the show, and put me at the show ground for benching which takes place Friday 10th. I’ll then be there from judging through to presentation and closure of the show on Sunday afternoon before heading home on Monday, literally just 4 days, somewhat reminiscent of my first All Japan Show trip back in 2007.
