My harvest season started in the USA at Quality Nishikigoi in September.

From there it was back to Europe and Yoshikigoi at the start of October, a harvest visit that I’ve not fully finished writing about here in Nishikigoi.Life because I headed straight to Japan.  I’ll be back at Yoshikigoi in December or January.

The time in Japan extended by a few days to become 4 weeks, much of which still hasn’t been documented here on Nishikigoi.Life.

As I write this I’m surrounded by half packed luggage about to embark on another journey, this time back to the USA and Purdin Koi Farm, somewhere I first visited around the same time last year – http://nishikigoi.life/2015/11/27/purdin-koi-farm-from-the-air/.

Oh, and then it’s back to Japan for a further 10 days or so at the end of November, but it will look a lot different then I suspect to how it looked today, which was quite spectacular.

The first picture below shows Mushigame Village in the centre.  In the bottom right hand corner is Yamakoshi Junior High School.

This time tomorrow I should be a couple of hours into my flight to the USA.

There are lots of Koi that I’m looking forward to catching up with at the Purdin harvest, Koi I’ve seen as tosai this time last year, then later in March of this year.

Read more thoughts on these Koi here – http://nishikigoi.life/2016/03/24/purdin-koi-farm-tosai/ and here – http://nishikigoi.life/2016/03/21/purdin-koi-farm-tosai-revisited-4-months/

This Goshiki is one I acquired in November last year, so particularly interested to see how it has developed.

Also keen to see how the offspring of the Showa spawning featuring the Isa male I love have developed so far – http://nishikigoi.life/2016/05/22/showa-spawning-purdin-koi-farm/.

So, lots to look forward to over the coming 10 or 11 days in the USA, then back to Japan to wrap things up here.
