From June through to September, with temperatures soaring as high as 40oC, the metres of snow of winter are a distant memory. Summer is all about growth and the creation of a new generation
of Nishikigoi.

In this fourth the viewer is treated to some stunning underwater footage as the fry continue to grow. We join Shintaro as he does selection of Kohaku and Showa fry, and ‘the legend’ that is Sadao Ikarashi. We also pay a visit to Nishikigoi no Sato, commonly known as ‘the Koi museum’ in Ojiya City.
