The 19th Niigata Breeders Auction will take place on 1st November 2016, the Tuesday following the Niigata Nogyosai which takes place on 29th and 30th October (see Niigata autumn show dates here – http://nishikigoi.life/2016/08/22/niigata-autumn-2016-show-dates/)

Every year the auction features some stunning Koi, some that have already taken prizes at the Nogyosai, others that go on to take prizes at the highest level including the All Japan Koi Show and Wakagoi Show.  See some of last year’s auction Koi here – http://nishikigoi.life/2015/11/03/17th-niigata-breeders-auction-5th-november-my-tips/.

This Doitsu Showa, nisai, 51cm, bred by Hiroi Koi Farm, was the highest priced lot of the event in 2015, purchased by Joe from Koi Kichi in Thailand.  Subsequently the Koi won the 55bu Tsubaki Prize at the 2016 All Japan Koi Show.
