Whilst my feet hardly seem to have touched the ground, this weekend I’m back on the road and visiting Holland for the 7th Euregio Koi Show.
For several years the organisers of the show have invited me along but sadly I hadn’t been able to make it. My good friend Jeroen Van Keulen of Koicentrum Van Keulen – http://www.koicentrum.nl/ – is a supporter of the show and too suggested I should visit.
Before my visit to Japan the show was kind of penciled in my diary, although I hadn’t booked any travel. When I went to look at flights a couple of weeks ago availability was limited and prices high, neither of those things have changed, in fact availability has become non-existent and prices through the roof. A return from London City to Amsterdam was being offered at the same price as a return ticket to Japan!
By chance this morning I had a look at the Eurostar website, having read that they were going to start a train service direct to Amsterdam from London. Whilst that service is not running yet, they were offering a reasonably priced ticket to Amsterdam via Brussels; it was duly booked.
The pictures below were posted by the show organisers on their Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/euregiokoishow/
I look forward to meeting up with old friends, and putting faces to names over the course of the weekend. You’ll likely find me somewhere around the Koicentrum Van Keulen stand if I’m not off taking picture or making video.

Oh, and any suggestion that ‘Grolsch Beer’ being a sponsor of the show has anything to do with me visiting may or may not be valid….
