The countdown is almost over, and I am brim full of excitement and anticipation.
The bags are packed and bang on their available weight allowance (i hope the scales are right).
This time tomorrow, assuming all going to schedule the plane should be somewhere over eastern Europe with many more miles and hours to go.
I last left Japan on 30th April, almost exactly 5 months ago, making it the longest period I have been out of Japan since 2007.
So much exciting stuff planned for the 38 day trip, starting of course with the 10th Dainichi Auction which will take place on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October.
Harvests proper probably won’t start until 9th or 10th October, that doesn’t mean a week of sitting around, a huge amount of preparation work is necessary for one of the DVD projects planned, and the Breeders section of the the directory – http://nishikigoi.life/directory/categories/japan-breeders/ – will be hugely updated with images and details of breeders current production.
