On February 17th 2008 the Nagaoka Yushiki, or snow festival, finished early, there was too much snow.
With the event due to take place next weekend it’s surely looking highly doubtful whether the festival will take place. The International Snowball Fight in Koide, Kokusai Yuki Gassen Taikai, which was good fun last year, and due to take place tomorrow, must surely be in doubt.
The reason, there’s hardly any snow!

Down at Miyaishi, well, as you can see, there really is NO snow!
If you refer to the weather forecast you see that there is little meaningful snow forecast over the next 15 days!
Is winter really all over for this year? Time will tell.
